I am a true oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, as well as January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of these yet? (? They're a few of the most popular recipes in my blog because they taste really sweet and cozy, just like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined sugar or bread!
So you are going to start with whole wheat flour (or fermented, if you want ) and immediate oats (like those... or these for a gluten-free edition!) . Immediate oats are thinner and smaller than traditional rolled oats, also you may see them at canisters right next to those old-fashioned oats in the grocery store.
I probably seem like a broken record by now... But cause I ? you and need your cookies to flip out absolutely plump and soft, I am reminding you ... Quantify your yogurt and bread correctly, using this method or a kitchen scale! (? That is the one I have and love. It just cost $20!) A lot of either side will make your biscuits taste cakey or dry, as opposed to chewy. This is particularly true of this oats--they behave like little sponges and soak up lots of moisture out of your cookie dough!

See these bananas? And all of those brown spots? If it comes to baking bananas, brown = amazing! I ? additional speckly bananas because they've so much glowing, bold taste --and also additional sweetness! That is the minimum amount of brown which I suggest. More is even better!
The remainder of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in another organic ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You would like the type that comes straight from pine trees, which is typically sold in thin glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake sugar and sugar-free syrup!

The pancakes include much more natural sweetness! The recently purchased, extra plump, perfectly soft ones are perfect... But for those who have elderly, slightly dried out raisins (hmm... it seems silly to explain dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is okay!
Only add them to some microwave-safe bowland put water on top until they're completely coated. Seal plastic wrap across the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. Should you let the raisins sit while mixing together the cookie dough, then this small trick hydrates them so they're exceptionally succulent --and that makes a large difference in these cookies once they're baked!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Yields: 15 cookies
These oatmeal biscuits are tender, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The familiar cozy spices and plump blueberries make these even more irresistible. They will keep for a minumum of one week if stored in an airtight container in the fridge --if they last long!
1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if mandatory and quantified like that )
3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or gluten-free* flour (quantified like that )
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon my company salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup
1/4 cup (40g) raisins
In a medium bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowlwhisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated.
Preheat the oven to 325°F, along with a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
Using a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 curved scoops on the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired thickness and width using Vegan Cookie Recipes - Vegan Richa a spatula. Bake at 325°F for about 10-12 minutes. Cool to the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
Notes: It's extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats properly utilizing this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That is exactly the one I have and enjoy!) Too much of either can dry out of the biscuits and leave them cakey rather than chewy.
Instant oats are also known as quick-cooking or moment oats. They come in large canisters, just like conservative oats. They are not those in the small flavored loaf of bread.
